~God Calls Us to Worship Him~

Call to Worship

Pastor

Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name!

All

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Hymn All Hail the Glorious Christ (CCLI#251645)

Above the earth and heaven’s angels,

Over kings and all their plans, When every rival throne has fallen, You will stand, You will stand.

Chorus: All hail the glorious Christ, oh, praise the Lord of Life.

For by Your sacrifice, You won the victory.

Now over all You reign, You overwhelmed the grave,

And rose again on high, all hail the glorious Christ.

Above our hearts and our temptations,

Your great love has overcome.

Defeating death and condemnation, You have won, You have won.

Chorus

And on that day upon Your mountain, You will gather Your redeemed.

And we will feast and give all glory to the King, to the King

Chorus

Now over all You reign, You overwhelmed the grave, And rose again on high, all hail the glorious Christ.

~God Renews Us in Christ~

We Corporately Confess Our Sin and Need to God

Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; and we have done those things which we ought not to have done; and there is no health in us. O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore those who are penitent, according to your promises declared unto us in Christ Jesus our Lord. Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father; for your Son our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, forgive all that is past; and grant that we may ever hereafter serve and please you in newness of life, to the honor and glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Song Come Lord Jesus (CCLI#251645)

When the war is over and the battles are done, We shall see our Savior shining like the sun. Every tear He will dry, every shadow will flee. All those in Christ Jesus will be made complete, Will be made complete.

Chorus: Come, Lord Jesus, Listen to creation groan. Come, Lord Jesus, Come and take Your people home.

Every tongue will praise Him, every knee will bow, When we see our Savior riding on the clouds Riding on the clouds. Chorus

Bridge: Now we see in part, then we’ll see in full. Your glory, Jesus, will satisfy our souls.

Now we see in part, then we’ll see in full.

Your glory, Jesus, will satisfy our souls. Chorus

Come and take Your people home.

Come and take Your people home.

We Confess Our Faith The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father

Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. (*universal)
