Call to Worship
Zephaniah 3:14-17

Pastor
Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!

Congregation
The LORD has taken away the judgments against us; he has cleared away our enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in our midst; we shall never again fear evil.

Pastor
On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: “Fear not, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak.

Congregation
The LORD our God is in our midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over us with gladness; he will quiet us by his love; he will exult over us with loud singing.

All
Let us sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; Let us shout, O Israel! Let us rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!

Song All Hail the Glorious Christ (CCLI#251645)
Above the earth and heaven’s angels, | Over kings and all their plans,
When every rival throne has fallen, | You will stand, You will stand.

Chorus:
All hail the glorious Christ, | Oh, praise the Lord of Life.
For by Your sacrifice, | You won the victory.
Now over all You reign, | You overwhelmed the grave.
And rose again on high, | All hail the glorious Christ.

Above our hearts and our temptations, |Your great love has overcome.
Defeating death and condemnation, |You have won, You have won.

Chorus
And on that day upon Your mountain,
You will gather Your redeemed.
And we will feast and give all glory | To the King, to the King.

Chorus
Now over all You reign, | You overwhelmed the grave.
And rose again on high, | All hail the glorious Christ.

Prayer of Worship

~God Renews Us in Christ~

We Corporately Confess Our Sin and Need
Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD! O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy! If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

We Silently Confess Our Sins

Song Let Your Kingdom Come (CCLI#251645)
Your glorious cause, O God, | engages our hearts.
May Jesus Christ be known | wherever we are.
We ask not for ourselves, | but for Your renown.
The cross has saved us so, | we pray Your kingdom come.

Chorus
Let Your kingdom come, | let Your will be done,
So that everyone might know Your Name.
Let Your song be heard | everywhere on earth,
Till Your sovereign work on earth is done.
Let Your kingdom come.

Give us Your strength, O God, | and courage to speak.
Perform Your wondrous deeds | through those who are weak.
Lord use us as You want, | whatever the test.
By grace we’ll preach Your gospel, | till our dying breath.

Sermon Living the Spiritual Life—Sowing to the Spirit

Hymn I Know Whom I Have Believed (705)

~God Feed Us at His Table~
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. (*universal)
