Call to Worship

Come, let us bless the God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ! Who according to His great mercy
has caused us to born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, to an
inheritance imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for us.

Hymn Lord, with Glowing Heart I’d Praise Thee (80)

Call to Confession

“Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Come, then, let us confess our sins
to the one who is faithful to forgive. And let us adore the one who is mighty to save!

We Corporately Confess Our Sins
We confess to you, Lord, what we are: we are not the people we like others to think we are; we are
afraid to admit even to ourselves what lies in the depths of our souls. But we do not want to hide
our true selves from you. We believe that you know us as we are, and yet you still love us. Forgive
our sins. Help us not to shrink from self- knowledge; give us the courage to put our trust in your
redeeming and guiding love. Raise us out of the paralysis of guilt and fear and take us
into the freedom and energy of forgiven people. And for those of us who through long habit find forgiveness hard to accept, we ask that
you would break our bondage and set us free. Through Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.

We Listen to God
Galatians 2:11-16
Song Show Us Christ (CCLI#251645)
Prepare our hearts, O God, Help us to receive. Break the hard and stony ground, Help our unbelief.
Plant Your Word down deep in us, Cause it to bear fruit, Open up our ears to hear, Lead us in Your
truth.
Chorus: Show us Christ, show us Christ,
O God, reveal Your glory Through the preaching of Your Word Until every heart confesses Christ is
Lord.
Your Word is living light Upon our darkened eyes, Guards us through temptations, Makes the simple
wise.
Your Word is food for famished ones, Freedom for the slave, Riches for the needy soul, Come speak
to us today. (Chorus)
Bridge: Where else can we go, Lord, Where else can we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Where else can we go, Lord,
Where else can we go? You have the words of eternal life. (Chorus)

Sermon Justification by Grace Alone, through Faith Alone, in Christ Alone

~God Meets and Feeds Us at His Table~
Song Behold the Lamb (CCLI#251645)
Behold the Lamb who bears our sins away, Slain for us - and we remember
The promise made that all who come in faith
Find forgiveness at the cross. So we share in this bread of life, And we drink of His sacrifice As
a sign of our bonds of peace Around the table of the King.
The body of our Savior Jesus Christ, Torn for you - eat and remember;
The wounds that heal, the death that brings us life
Paid the price to make us one. So we share in this bread of life, And we drink of His sacrifice As
a sign of our bonds of love Around the table of the King.
The blood that cleanses every stain of sin, Shed for you - drink and remember
He drained death's cup that all may enter in
To receive the life of God. So we share in this bread of life, And we drink of His sacrifice As a
sign of our bonds of grace Around the table of the King.
And so, with thankfulness and faith, we rise
To respond - and to remember Our call to follow in the steps of Christ As His body here on earth.
As we share in His suffering,
We proclaim Christ will come again!
And we’ll join in the feast of heaven Around the table of the King. Around the table of the King.

We Confess Our Faith The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born
of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he
descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is
seated at the right hand of God the Father
Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness
of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. (*universal)

“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”
