Prelude:
Come, Ye Sinners - Words: Joseph Hart, 1759. Music: Isaac Wardell, 2015.

Come, ye sinners, poor and needy
Weak and wounded, sick and sore
Jesus ready waits to save you
Full of pity, joined with pow'r.

He is able, He is able
He is willing doubt no more. (2X)

Come, ye needy, come and welcome
God's free bounty glorify
True belief and true repentance
Every grace that brings you nigh.

Without money, without money,
Come to Jesus Christ and buy. (2X)

Come, ye weary, heavy laden
Lost and ruined by the Fall
If you tarry till you're better
You will never come at all.

Not the righteous, not the righteous,
Sinners Jesus came to call. (2X)

Let not conscience make you linger
Nor of fitness fondly dream
All the fitness He requireth
Is to feel your need of Him.

This He gives you, this He gives you,
'Tis the Spirit's rising beam. (2X)

Call to Worship 1 John 1:1-4

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life—the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us—that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete. Let us proclaim his glory in our worship!

Song Christ Our Hope in Life and Death (CCLI#251645)
Words and music by Keith Getty, Matt Papa, Matt Boswell, Matt Merker, Jordan Kauflin

What is our hope in life and death?
Christ alone, Christ alone.
What is our only confidence?
That our souls to Him belong.

Who holds our days within His hand?
What comes, apart from His command?
And what will keep us to the end?
The love of Christ, in which we stand.

O sing hallelujah!
Our hope springs eternal;
O sing hallelujah!
Now and ever we confess
Christ our hope in life and death.

What truth can calm the troubled soul?
God is good, God is good.
Where is His grace and goodness known?
In our great Redeemer’s blood.

Who holds our faith when fears arise?
Who stands above the stormy trial?
Who sends the waves that bring us nigh
Unto the shore, the rock of Christ?

O sing hallelujah!
Our hope springs eternal;
O sing hallelujah!
Now and ever we confess
Christ our hope in life and death.

Unto the grave, what shall we sing?
“Christ, He lives; Christ, He lives!”
And what reward will heaven bring?
Everlasting life with Him.

There we will rise to meet the Lord,
Then sin and death will be destroyed,
And we will feast in endless joy,
When Christ is ours forevermore.

O sing hallelujah!
Our hope springs eternal;
O sing hallelujah!
Now and ever we confess
Christ our hope in life and death.(2X)

Now and ever we confess
Christ our hope in life and death.

Prayer of Worship

Heavenly Father we bow before you in worship and with thanksgiving for your infinite love lavished upon us in the gift of your Son to be our Redeemer; Prophet, Priest and King. We ask you to show us Christ in all his glory that we might glorify you in our worship and with our lives. Grant us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of yourself. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts that we may know the hope to which you have called us. Make us to know the riches of your glorious inheritance as your children and the great resurrection power that is at work at work in those who believe. And may our lives overflow with joy and worship now and forever. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

We Confess Our Sin and Need

Almighty God, you gave your one and only Son to die in our place as the sacrifice for our guilt and sin. In raising Jesus from the grave, you shattered the power of sin and death. Almighty God, we acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed; we have not loved you with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength; we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. Deepen within us our sorrow for the wrong we have done, and the good we have left undone. Lord, you are full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy; there is always forgiveness with you. Restore to us the joy of your salvation; bind up that which is broken, give light to our minds, strength to our wills, and rest to our souls. Speak to each of us in your Word, and let your Word abide with us until it has accomplished in us your holy will. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

Song God Delights In You (CCLI#251645)

Calling every daughter, calling every son,
All who’ve been adopted through a sacrifice of love.
There’s no need for you to fear; Your debts have all been cleared.

Calling all the downcast who feel like they’re alone,
Anyone who’s longing for a family of their own,
God’s prepared a place for you. He’s calling you to —

Come and sing — come and dance. The Father’s singing over you.
Come rejoice — and be glad. For God delights in you — in you.

Calling all who’ve wandered, gone off on their own,
Anyone who wonders if they’re welcome back at home,
The God of grace makes all things new; He’s calling you to —

Come and sing — come and dance. The Father’s singing over you.
Come rejoice — and be glad. For God delights in you — in you.

You chose us to be the objects of Your love, In spite of all we have done.
You gave Your beloved Son to die for us, To make us daughters and sons.

Come and sing — come and dance. The Father’s singing over you.
Come rejoice — and be glad. For God delights in you.

Come and sing — come and dance. The Father’s singing over you.
Come rejoice — and be glad. For God delights in you — in you.

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. If you confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Know that your sins are forgiven because you have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, who is the propitiation for your sins.

Song I Will Glory In My Redeemer (CCLI#251645)

I will glory in my Redeemer, Whose priceless blood has ransomed me.
Mine was the sin that drove the bitter nails, And hung Him on that judgment tree.
I will glory in my Redeemer, Who crushed the power of sin and death.
My only Savior before the Holy Judge: The Lamb Who is my righteousness,
The Lamb Who is my righteousness.

I will glory in my Redeemer. My life He bought, my love He owns.
I have no longings for another, I’m satisfied in Him alone.
I will glory in my Redeemer, His faithfulness my standing place.
Though foes are mighty and rush upon me, My feet are firm, held by His grace,
My feet are firm, held by His grace.

I will glory in my Redeemer, Who carries me on eagle’s wings.
He crowns my life with lovingkindness, His triumph song I’ll ever sing.
I will glory in my Redeemer, Who waits for me at gates of gold,
And when He calls me it will be paradise, His face forever to behold,
His face forever to behold.

Sermon Resurrection Grace

Song In My Heart (CCLI#251645)

In my heart there is a stirring, One that did not start with me,
A love to worship my Creator, To show His love for all to see.
I will worship, I will honor, I will exalt the Lord above.
All my days I’ll sing the praises Of His great redeeming love

In my heart there is a treason, One that poisons all my love.
Take my heart and consecrate it. Wash it in Your cleansing blood.
I will worship, I will honor, I will exalt the Lord above.
All my days I’ll sing the praises Of His great redeeming love

Tie me to the Rock unchanging. Tie me to His wondrous Cross.
I’ll fix my eyes upon the Savior. All other things I count as loss.
I will worship, I will honor, I will exalt the Lord above.
All my days I’ll sing the praises Of His great redeeming love

Benediction
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Postlude
Amazing Grace
(My Chains Are Gone) - Chris Tomlin

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I've been set free

My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine.

“And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.””

— Luke 24 : 38-39
