Call to Worship

Pastor
Join together. Let us sanctify the name of God forever and ever, to
Whom belongs wisdom and might; Who changes times and seasons;
removes and sets up kings; gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge
to those who have understanding.

All
To You, O God, we offer thanks and praise

Hymn O Father, You Are Sovereign (75)

Prayer of Worship

~God Renews Us in Christ~

We Corporately Confess Our Sin and Need from Psalm 38
O LORD, rebuke us not in your anger, nor discipline us in your
wrath! For your arrows have sunk into us, and your hand has come
down on us. There is no soundness in our flesh because of your
indignation; there is no health in our bones because of our sin. For our
iniquities have gone over our heads; like a heavy burden, they are too
heavy for us. O Lord, all our longing is before you; our sighing is not
hidden from you. We confess our iniquity; We are sorry for our sin.
Do not forsake us, O LORD! O our God, be not far from us! Make
haste to help us, O Lord, our salvation!

We Silently Confess Our Sins

Song: His Mercy Is More (CCLI#251645)
What love could remember, no wrongs we have done?
Omniscient, all-knowing, He counts not their sum.
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore.
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

Chorus:
Praise the Lord!
His mercy is more,
Stronger than darkness,
New every morn’,
Our sins they are many,
His mercy is more.

What patience would wait as we constantly roam?
What Father so tender is calling us home?
He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor;
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more. Chorus

What riches of kindness He lavished on us!
His blood was the payment; His life was the cost.
We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford.
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more. Chorus (3x’s)

God’s Grace in Christ Romans 8:18-25

Hymn Jesus Lives, and So Shall I (706)

Sermon The Fruit of the Spirit: Patience (part 2)

~God Feeds Us at His Table ~

Song I Will Glory in My Redeemer (CCLI#251645)
I will glory in my Redeemer,
Whose priceless blood has ransomed me.
Mine was the sin that drove the bitter nails
And hung Him on that judgment tree.
I will glory in my Redeemer,
Who crushed the power of sin and death.
My only Savior before the holy Judge:
The Lamb who is my righteousness,
The Lamb who is my righteousness.

I will glory in my Redeemer,
My life He bought, my love He owns.
I have no longings for another,
I’m satisfied in Him alone.
I will glory in my Redeemer,
His faithfulness my standing place.
Though foes are mighty and rush upon me,
My feet are firm, held by His grace.
My feet are firm, held by His grace.

I will glory in my Redeemer,
Who carries me on eagles’ wings.
He crowns my life with lovingkindness,
His triumph song I’ll ever sing.
I will glory in my Redeemer,
Who waits for me at gates of gold.
And when He calls me, it will be paradise;
His face forever to behold,
His face forever to behold.

We Confess Our Faith
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived
by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under
Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into
hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into
heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father
Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion
of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the
life everlasting. Amen. (*universal)
