Welcome

Prelude
~God Calls Us to Worship Him~
Call to Worship Psalm 36:5-9

Pastor
Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your
righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast
you save, O LORD. How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge
in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink
from the river of your delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light.

Congregation
Come and let us feast upon the steadfast love of God in Christ as we worship him together.

Prayer of Worship
~God Renews Us in Christ~
We Corporately Confess Our Sin and Need
God our Creator, Savior, and Lord, we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed:
we have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves.
But you have kept faith with us. Have mercy on us; strip us of all that is displeasing to you;
and help us to live a life of love and obedience to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We Silently Confess Our Sins

Song Afflicted Saint (CCLI#251645)
Afflicted saint, to Christ draw near,
Your Savior’s gracious promise hear;
His faithful Word you can believe:
That as your days your strength shall be.

Your faith is weak, your foes are strong,
And if the conflict should be long,
The Lord will make the tempter flee
That as your days your strength shall be.

Refrain: So, sing with joy, afflicted one;
The battle’s fierce, but the victory’s won!
God shall supply all that you need;
Yes, as your days your strength shall be.

Should persecution rage and flame,
Still trust in your Redeemer’s name.
In fiery trials you shall see
That as your days your strength shall be. Refrain

When called to bear your weighty cross
Or sore affliction, pain, or loss,
Or deep distress or poverty,
Still as your days your strength shall be. Refrain 2x’s

~God Meets and Feeds Us at His Table~

Song: Glorious Day (CCLI#251645)
One day when Heaven was filled with His praises,
One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,
Dwelt among men, my example is He,
Word became flesh and the light shined among us,
His glory revealed.

Refrain: Living, He loved me. Dying, He saved me.
Buried, He carried my sins far away.
Rising, He justified freely forever. One day He’s coming;
Oh, glorious day, oh glorious day!

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain.
One day they nailed Him to die on a tree.
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected.
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He.
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me. Refrain

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer.
One day the stone rolled away from the door.
Then He arose, over death He had conquered.
Now He’s ascended, my Lord evermore.
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep
Him From rising again. Refrain

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming.
One day the skies with His glories will shine.
Wonderful day, my Beloved One, bringing
My Savior, Jesus, is mine. Refrain
Glorious day, Oh, Glorious day!

We Confess Our Faith Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I Believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born
of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he
descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is
seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness
of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen (*universal)
