Welcome

Prelude
~God Calls Us to Worship Him~
Call to Worship I Chronicles 16:31, 34-36

Pastor: Let the heavens be glad and let the earth rejoice!
And let them say among the nations, “The lord reigns!”

People: Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His steadfast love endures forever!

Pastor: Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather and deliver us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise.

All: Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, His Church.
From everlasting to everlasting! Let us worship God.

~God Renews Us in Christ~

We Corporately Confess Our Sins

We bow before You this morning dear Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, confessing that we have allowed our lives to be filled with trivia that has distracted us from our great duty to love You and one another. We plead with You, dear Lord to work that miracle of grace within us that enables us to see the infinite Glory of Yourself and Your Redemption, so that we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and our neighbors as ourselves. Create that New Covenant of Grace which You have promised so that the whole New Age of Glory may dawn powerfully, helpfully, beautifully on our poor fallen world. Amen

We Silently Confess Our Sins

Remain seated to Sing this Song of the Redeemed: Isaiah 35:10

Therefore, the redeemed of the Lord
Shall return and come with singing unto Zion.
And everlasting joy shall be upon their head.
They shall obtain gladness and joy
And sorrow and mourning shall flee away (Repeat)

The Grace of God in Christ

We Confess Our Faith: Heidelberg Catechism #32

Leader: But why are you called a Christian?

People: Because I am a member of Christ by faith, and thus a partaker of His anointing, that I may confess His Name, present myself a living sacrifice of thanksgiving to Him, and with a free and good conscience fight against sin and the devil in this life, and hereafter reign with Him eternally over all creatures.

Sermon Celebrating Life with the King of Glory

Celebration Hymn: Jesus Is King.

Jesus is King and I will extol Him,
Give Him the glory, and honor His name.
He reigns on high, enthroned in the heavens,
Word of the Father, exalted for us.

We have a Hope that is steadfast and certain,
Gone through the curtain and touching the throne.
We have a Priest who is there interceding,
Pouring His grace on our lives day by day.

We come to Him, Our Priest and Apostle,
Clothed in His glory and bearing His name,
Laying our lives with gladness before Him;
Filled with His Spirit we worship the King.

O Holy One, our hearts do adore You;
Thrilled with Your goodness we give You our praise.
Angels in light with worship surround Him.
Jesus, our Savior, forever the same.

Jesus is King and I will extol Him,
Give Him the glory, and honor His name.
He reigns on high, enthroned in the heavens,
Word of the Father, exalted for us.
