Welcome

Prelude
~God Calls Us to Worship Him~
Call to Worship Revelation 1:4-8

Pastor

Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.

Congregation

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Pastor

Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.

Congregation

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

All

To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Song Glorious Day (CCLI#251645)

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises. One day when sin was as black as could be. Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin, Dwelt among men, my example is He. Word became flesh and the light shined among us,

His glory revealed.

Chorus: Living, He loved me. Dying, He saved me. Buried, He carried my sins far away. Rising, He justified freely forever.

One day He’s coming! Oh, glorious day, oh, glorious day!

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain. One day they nailed Him to die on a tree. Suffering anguish, despised and rejected, Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He. Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree,

And took the nails for me. Chorus

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer. One day the stone rolled away from the door. Then He arose, over death He had conquered, Now He’s ascended, my Lord evermore. Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him

From rising again. Chorus

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming. One day the skies with His glories will shine. Wonderful day, my Beloved One, bringing.

My Savior, Jesus, is mine. Chorus

Glorious day! Oh, Glorious day!

Prayer of Worship

~God Renews Us in Christ~

We Corporately Confess Our Sin and Need

Lord God, you are faithful to your great Name and all your purposes and all your promises. We are not. Forgive our faithlessness to you and your calling of us to be separated for you and for your purposes: your plans for us in Christ, and your command to make disciples of all nations. For the sake of Christ Jesus your Son and our Lord, cleanse us from all our unrighteousness and create new affections in our hearts. Amen.

~God Instructs Us with His Word~

Song Ancient Words (CCLI#251645)

Holy Words long preserved | For our walk in this world;

They resound with God's own heart, | O, let the ancient words impart;

Words of life, words of hope, | Give us strength, help us cope;

In this world where'er we roam, | Ancient words will guide us home.

Chorus

Ancient Words, ever true, | Changing me, changing you;

We have come with open hearts, | O, let the ancient words impart.

Holy words of our faith | Handed down to this age,

Came to us through sacrifice; | O, heed the faithful words of Christ;

Holy words, long preserved | For our walk in this world;

They resound with God's own heart; | O, let the ancient words impart.

Chorus (2 times)

We have come with open hearts, | O, let the ancient words impart.

O, let the ancient words impart.
